The aim of the workshop “Improvement of
Irrigation Water Management: Achievements & Challenges” is
to gather the partners, decision makers, international
experts and technicians to identify new challenges for
irrigation water management and elaborate recommendations
for the continuation of the IrWa experience. After
presenting IrWa's achievements, the methodology developed in
Jordan to improve water efficiency at the farm level will be
presented. Finally, recommendations on technical and
organisational aspects to improve on farm irrigation
optimisation using NCARE extension service as a case study
will be highlighted for further elaboration during the group
