With these studies, the intensity of the river flow and the risk of flooding
have been clearly identified as bellow:
Starting from these analyses, the project has decided to work on some
critical points to stabilize the river course protecting
delicate areas (Main roads, farms, houses, cultivated lands,
etc.) from the risks of flooding.
Modern engineering techniques have been used; some of them were used for the
first time in Lebanon (gabions, mattresses, and
Geo-composite).
