Installation of self-cleaning trash racks filtration at
some turnouts on the King
Abdullah Canal and other filtration units at on-farms
level

The proposed intervention consists in the
installation of a stainless steel self cleaning grids, with
the objective of intercept floating debris, improving
significantly the water supplied the FUs, preventing
clogging of the irrigation network. This representing a
first necessary step for the functioning of the drip
irrigation systems existing in all the farms served
and preventing malfunction and deterioration of FTA’s.
4 Turn Outs on King Abdullah Kanal (KAC) will be
equiped with
automated filtration grids.
The tenders for the
supervision and the works are processing and
contracted during July 2007.
